Description
Käreitär is the Mother (’emuu’) of Foxes. Both are associated with Aurora borealis in the northern sky. Even the word ‘revontulet’ literally translates to fox fires in English. Foxes were a prized catch for their flaming red coat. They had a feminine essence, especially sensual or even erotic in nature. Courting a woman was associated with hunting a fox, who was a beautiful, magical and cunning creature.
Käreitär is accompanied with Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), Maple (Acer platanoides), Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) and Pine (Pinus sylvestris). They help us to get strong and confident in our own voice and being, making us move in this world like the fox: as we are, whole and beautiful.
Original hand drawn artwork printed on high quality, Hahnemühle’s William Turner fine art paper.
